Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will launch the 4^th “Rozgar Mela, the recruitment drive for about 71,000 personnel, on April 13 at 10.30 AM via video conferencing in centres located all over the country. One such mega-event is being held at Patiala Locomotive Works, Patiala, at the PLW Auditorium. During the ceremony, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will distribute about 71,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits. The Prime Minister will also address these appointees on the occasion.

The Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilling the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord the highest priority to employment generation. The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst for further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.

The new recruits, selected from across the country, will join various positions and posts under the Government of India. During the function at Patiala Locomotive Works, Patiala, the newly appointees for the posts of assistant engineer, assistant student counsellor, assistant registrar, JE, junior account assistant, senior clerk, DMS, Jr. clerk, technician-III (DSL) mechanical, senior timekeeper, officer scales 2 and 3, etc., will get appointment letters from the Hon’ble Prime Minister through video conferencing.

The newly inducted appointees will also get an opportunity to train themselves through Kamayogi Prarambh, which is an online orientation course for all new appointees in various government departments.
