For the elimination of child labour, the District Talks Force Patiala and Child Protection Movement conducted a surprise survey in different areas of Rajpura and recovered eight children who had been subjected to labour and presented them before the Child Welfare Committee.
Giving this information, District Child Protection Officer Shaina Kapoor said that under the orders of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Minister of Women and Child Development Dr. Baljit Kaur, such action is being taken continuously and children doing child labour are being recovered.
DCPO, He further informed me that all the documents of these 8 children recovered from Rajpura by the District Tax Force Patiala and Child Protection Movement are being processed by the Child Welfare Committee, and the rehabilitation of these children is being done. He further said that the committee has written to the police to take action, and the education department has started the process of enrolling these children in the school as soon as possible after noting their names.
